Israel Sisterhood:
Temple
Israel Sisterhood continues to serve a myriad of functions. We
are here to assist those in need in our community and to foster
greater sociability among members of our Temple. We organize Oneg
Shabbat receptions for Friday night and special services. We still
continue to provide all the kitchen supplies and paper goods and
keep the kitchen well stocked. Our Sisterhood is always there
to conduct our "Break the Fast" program on Yom Kippur.
We also continue the tradition of presenting a meaningful gift
to each Bar/Bat Mitzvah student, and recognize life events in
our community.
We
continue to print and present the "Yiskor Book" at Yom
Kippur. All in all, the Sisterhood is the backbone of our Temple.
The officers and Commmittees of Temple Israel Sisterhood extend
their best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year to the congregation
and the entire Jewish community.
