Services
Shabbat services are held every Friday
night at 7:30 pm. One Friday night of each month is Family Shabbat
(see the Temple calendar), which begins with a “Tot Shabbat
service” (brief prayers, songs and a story) for our youngest
members and their families at 6:00 pm, followed by a pot luck,
vegetarian/dairy communal dinner at 6:30 pm. Our family service
for all ages begins at 7:15 pm, when we use Gates of Prayer for
Young People as our Prayerbook. On at least two others Fridays
each month, we worship from the new Reform prayerbook, Mishkan
T’filah, enhanced by spirited song (melodies familiar and
new) and sharing of thoughtful insights on the weekly Torah portion
or other Jewish wisdom. Usually on the last Friday night of each
month, a "Shabbat Service for Renewal of Spirit," features
special music and readings that provide a sense of comfort, healing
and wholeness for those who have gathered together for prayer
and camaraderie. Everyone is welcome at all Friday night services!
We hold a monthly Learners’
Minyan on selected Saturdays at 10:30 am, including a discussion
on the Torah reading, and followed by a bagel brunch. This service
is open to members of all ages. Students in 5th-7th grade and
their parents are encouraged to attend.
