Adult Learning

Temple Israel recognizes that its members are active, interested people with a desire to learn and grow!

  • A class in conversational Hebrew and the possibility of a beginning Hebrew course in 2008-2009
  • Rabbi’s Table" discussions on selected Sunday mornings (check the website calendar) bring community members together to study and explore various topics and contemporary issues.
  • The "Tefillah and Torah" Saturday morning service held monthly beginning in the fall includes a study session on the Torah portion for the week.
  • Discussion series on A Touch of the Sacred, by Eugene Borowitz and Frances Schwartz, focusing on beliefs about God expressed in our own language! This series will meet on selected weeks in November and December of 2008.
  • Speakers are invited to share their expertise several times a year.
Suggestions for presenters or topics are welcome! We hope you will join us in our programs of lifelong learning!
